

Global Genetics R&D Manager

We seek a global Genetics Research & Develop Manager who will shape the global Research & Development strategy for Genetic Products across all product lines. You will be responsible for CRV’s global R&D team and contribute to the continuous development of CRV’s breeding programs via R&D.
Together with the Breeding Program Managers and the global R&D team, you work on:
- Environmental sustainability and animal welfare
- Breeding goal and development of new traits
- New technologies in quantitative and molecular genetics and genomics
- Genetic improvement within our breeding programs and for our customers
You work with the global R&D team on driving innovation and support implementation of findings into CRV’s breeding programs and genomics-based information products.
You are the lead contact for our scientific partners; Breed4Food, Wageningen University, Universities in Australia/NZ, AgResearch and others. You develop and motivate business cases for R&D projects and investments and seek external funding opportunities and partnerships.
To shape this R&D strategy, you will be present and represent CRV’s contributions to improve environmental sustainability and animal welfare in the dairy and beef production sector, as a front person towards international audiences, key stakeholders, and media.
By personal coaching and developing competences you will steer and support the R&D staff across CRV. Besides this you strengthen CRV’s innovation capacity through trainee programs (summer interns, PhD-students) in cooperation with universities, you will support technical training of international sales teams and development of training programs, in close collaboration with Marketing and Communication.

- M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in Agricultural Science, preferably Animal Breeding and Genomics
- 10 year experience in a R&D or scientific role in agriculture
- Excellent communication skills in English language
- Vision on how breeding programs and genomics can contribute to the challenges for the global dairy & beef industry
- Proven ability to manage R&D projects
- Strong strategic and commercial acumen
- Good scientific network and ability to manage partnerships within industry and science.
