Company and position description

As the General Manager CRV Cooperative you are responsible for building, creating loyalty and managing all activities related to the members of the Cooperative. This includes among others, the members’ council, and the Dutch and Flemish farmers’ boards. You also manage the animal evaluation herdbook registration and cattle classification.

In this position, you contribute to the CRV business strategy and business plan and represent the Cooperative in the Management Team of CRV, you formulate and monitor the yearly plan and budget for the Cooperative.

You are responsible for a good relationship and strengthening loyalty to the cooperative with the members and the members’ council. To this end, you regularly maintain proactive contact with stakeholders and organize all member and board meetings in close collaboration with Market NL/FL.

You align with the CRV CEO, the Dutch and Flemish farmer boards, district boards, members and members’ council to ensure they are informed in time about developments in CRV’s products and services

To comply with the quality standards and regulations regarding the management of a European herd book for all dairy farmers in the Netherlands and Flanders, you ensure that all activities are fulfilled in a timely and efficient manner.

Develops a sustainable strategy to deliver classification services to farmers to use in the selection of their cows and to enable required traits are available to the animal evaluation unit of CRV.

Your stakeholders are both external and internal, you will build and maintain a network of relevant (external) stakeholders/partners and represent CRV Cooperative as an organisation.

Besides that, you initiate regular connection and creates value add collaboration with the MD Market NL/FL. You are responsible for hiring, leading, coaching and appraising employees, and you develop (the cooperation between) employees of the assigned division using the relevant HR instruments, service and procedures.

In this position, you report to the CEO CRV BV.

requirements and profile

  • Academic level of working and thinking.
  • Minimal 10 years relevant experience, of which 5 years management experience
  • Knowledge of and at least 5 years’ experience in the agribusiness sector dairy & breeding.
  • Excellent people manager and coach

Excellent command of the Dutch and English language in word and writing.
