Company and position description

We are looking for a commercial entrepreneur that wants to build good relationships to grow our international business, but especially knows how to have fun!

In this position you are solely responsible for the business development and sales to customers in number of countries. You will have your focus on existing customers and will be dedicated in searching for new customers in local cattle markets. CRV strategy in emerging markets is rapidly evolving, making it an exciting and challenging time to be part of the local team. You will work closely together with your colleagues located in the Netherlands and abroad.

Your responsibilities

  • you are responsible for sales and margin results on account/distributor level
  • you are developing long term sales plans according to budget
  • you develop and maintain long term relationships with your local customers
  • on the basis of existing or new business contacts you will initiate and develop sales activities based on the international strategy
  • you are planning and are committed to budgeted resources based on a local cost-benefit analysis
  • you are signaling trends and opportunities at customer level as input for new business activities
  • 30-50 % of your time you will be traveling throughout the region
  • you are participating in international trade fairs
  • you will organize local product training for distributors and/or customers

Requirements needed for this position:

  • minimum a higher level education preferably with an agricultural focus.
  • you have a solid (minimum of 3 years) (international) commercial background in agricultural, veterinary expertise or ranching/(dairy)cattle business
  • good sense of humour
  • excellent knowledge of English - knowledge of other languages like Russian and Spanish are welcome.

Additional information:

  • Remuneration package is in line with the requirements for this position, including bonus and personal training.
  • The Area Sales Manager reports to the Managing Director Emerging Markets.
  • Position is based as native in local markets (home office) or in The Netherlands (Arnhem) but only if existing labor license is already available for the Dutch market.
  • The Area Sales Manager is part of a team of Area Sales Managers that work closely together to achieve growth in emerging markets.
